Hello!
There was a surprise set from GLASS HARP at beautiful Nelson's Ledges Park in Ohio. The guys played un-advertised as a favor to the folks who own and run the camping and concert set-up. They went on around 5:30 and were spectacular. It was quite different, much like the Agora set was out of the norm. Lots of spontaneity and no set list. LOTS OF JAMMING!!!!!!!!!!!! It could not have been more laid back, with lots of people milling around with the beautiful lake just yards from the stage. The band has quite a bit of the work done on the new album, and there are names for it flying likes notes from Phil's fingertips! It was great to see familiar faces and meet new friends. The set was under 2 hours, and it was just as well. Phil is having some problems with his back this week, and I am sure that some prayers would be appreciated. (From what I understand, he pulled something out of place last week at CREATION WEST in Seattle, and has been aching since.) He was amazing even when in pain. (Those of you who have twisted their back out know how this kind of ache can be!)
I gotta tell you, Daniel and John are just powerhouse! Those guys are getting more creative by the second! Daniel is back to the fellow who was all over the stage in the Michael Stanley Band. You can't get him to stop smiling! My heart is ready to burst when I see this band! Having been fortunate to see them many times in the early days, it is awesome to see them playing to a crowd of people now who are right out of that time! People my age, and youth the age we were back then! It is so special to be able to witness this phenomena.
John will be adding some new MP3s to the GLASSHARP.NET site and MP3.com in the next couple of days. Mike and I will have new photos (and possibly some video) to John for the site as well. Keep watching!! Have a good weekend, and see you at the chat tonight!!
